Trying to print a base for a laptop, this turned out to be larger than the printing surface, taking the model the next sizes:

size1

So I decided to cut the tip of the original model using Meshmixer, so that it fits on the surface of my printer which is 200 x 200 mm, and the part now has the following measurements

sizes2

Top = Cut print model Bottom = Original model

simplify

I stopped the process, when I could see that the final impression would not be the right one

final product

the measure to the print model are

  • X-axis = 145 mm
  • Y-axis = 80 mm
