I'm writing a slicer to generate print paths based on two input fields:
- one describing the shape I need to be printed and
- the other describing the direction which I would like the nozzle to follow.
I've written a code that allows me to generate the line paths, however, I do not know how long can each printed segment be so that I do not overflow the serial. Is there any rough estimate how many lines of gcode I can provide each second? Or should I simply figure it out by trial and error? I'm working with Octoprint on Raspberry Pi and Ender 3.
