# 3D printer Endstop doesn't trigger in Pronterface when depressed

I am using Makerbot endstops connected to a RAMPS 1.4/Arduino Mega 2560 setup. I am using Marlin firmware and Pronterface. When I send the M119 command, all six (I'm using max- and min endstops for all three axes) endstops return "Open". When I depress the trigger on any of my six endstops, the LED on the endstop lights up, but the endstop's status on the Pronterface screen doesn't change. What could be the cause of this?

• Hi Ethan, welcome to 3DPrinting.SE! It might be helpful for others to see how the endstops are configured in the Configuration.h file. Please show us!

• Also, what is schematic of endstop contacts - and how did you connect these endstop contacts to pins of RAMPS? Btw. did you have a chance to test (e.g. with multimeter) that SIG + GND connection of the unconnected endstop work as expected? Feb 10 at 23:45
• Hello all! I think I've discovered the problem. When I was testing my endstops, I did not resend M119 after I depressed the endstop trigger; I thought it would update automatically. I will retest the endstops this way and update you all. Thank you! Feb 12 at 15:07
