I have a Flashforge 3. It appears my print head is not heating up, but only when trying to print something. Once my bed gets to temperature, it starts printing but the head is still very low (30 °C) e.g. even when it’s set for 230 °C for printing ABS. This results in the feeder thumping and no discharge. However, if I manually change the filament it heats to 235 °C just fine. I tried to reprint an item that printed fine the other day so it’s not the file. It did recently get an update but surely that’s not it. Does anyone have any ideas?

$\begingroup$ Hi Steve, welcome to 3DPrinting.SE! Strange, usually cold extrusion is prevented, so no extruder movement should be possible. If the file is exactly the same I'm wondering if the update isn't the culprit... How do you exclude the update from the causes, please explain. $\endgroup$– 0scar ♦Jul 13, 2022 at 13:47
