What is the cheapest (desktop) 3D printer that you can get right now?

Is there a current price list (with different vendors)?

$\begingroup$ -1 as this question is too broad in its current state. You should specify what technology you wish to use (FDM/SLS). Also, this could be very opinion based as there are many different machine types, manufacturers, and models. For example, I could reply with something like this - gearbest.com/home-decors/… $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ That's a bit better, thank you. I recall seeing a study done in one of the 3D printing Google Groups. I'll search around to try and find one again and post a link. I've got a different study in mind for now, I'll post in a minute. $\endgroup$

$\begingroup$ @tbm0115 I don't think so. Printer comparisons inevitably become outdated with new models coming to market. $\endgroup$ Feb 18 '16 at 7:44

The peer-based 3D printing service called 3D Hubs conducted a survey of its users and which printers they use and suggest. This survey's results are here.

I recall a similar Google Group conducting a similar survey a year or so ago, I'll search for the link to that as well a little later.

  • $\begingroup$ You know it's made by a 3D printing service (who make money by people not having their own printer) by calling a 1000$ delta and the CR-10 "budget" printers. $\endgroup$
