I am looking for a away I can convert the horizontal rotation into vertical, typically we use bevel gear for such thing. But I am using a SG90 servo motor for which I am struggling to ger the correct gears to achieve my requirement.

I am not sure is there is any other way I can do this using the SG90 servo motor. I am looking for something which I can 3D print if nothing is readily available.

$\begingroup$ CV-joints or universal joints can be used also. All depends on your application. This is not a specific 3D printing question, maybe something for Engineering.SE? $\endgroup$ – 0scar May 16 at 12:14
  • $\begingroup$ You can find parametric designs for bevel gears on Thingiverse. $\endgroup$ – Mick May 16 at 12:29

$\begingroup$ Either, as 0scar states, SE.Engineering or Robotics.SE? I can migrate this question if you would like. Or you could ask two different questions, on here and SE.Robotics, tailoring each question accordingly. For example, ask for a 3D printed part here (if it isn't too opinion based) and asking the SG90 question on SE. Robotics. $\endgroup$ – Greenonline May 16 at 12:40

$\begingroup$ Bevel gears are used for exactly this purpose, that is if you can't just change the location/direction of the motor itself. Robotics would be a lot better place to put this question, as @Greenonline suggests. $\endgroup$ – Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 2 days ago
