Use this tag for questions on Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, also known as ABS, a commonly used thermoplastic polymer.

Many household and consumer goods are typically made from ABS because of its light weight, high resistance to impact, high toughness, the ability to use it for injection molding and ease of machining. With a high glass temperature of about 105 °C, ABS is stable to maintain its mechanical properties than other polymers like PLA or PETG.

Because of considerable shrinkage during cooling prints need to be designed a little larger and it needs to be printed on a heated bed at a temperature of about 100 - 110 °C in a controlled, heated environment to prevent warping from the bed and layer delamination. Print part cooling should not be used.
