Managing temperatures in 3D printers. This includes hotends, heated beds, heated chambers, cooling elements and cooling of electronics.

Heat management in 3D printers is an essential technical aspect of the design. The tag heat-management is used to signalize that the question touches the thermal design aspects of 3D printers.

This can include, but is not limited to

  • hotends and their heating elements, heatbreaks and nozzles, cooling setup of the heatbreak
  • heated beds, their heat insulation, effectivity of the thermal design
  • heated chambers, design and efficiency, tech used to heat, controlling the heat
  • cooling of parts that should not be hot as hotend mount and the electronics

The tag should not be used for cooling of the print, use a dedicated tag here.
