Since posting it I found the feeder tube for the extruder was twisted some, and adding resistance to the feed path. Also the monoprice orange PLA left long strings in the Bowden tube when I unloaded the spool, I think this wispy stuff was getting re melted when the filament got moving through the tube next print. And the tension on the extruder was pressing notches into the filament so it wasn’t smooth, more prone to getting caught. I modded the heat break fan to be higher speed (24v fan hooked to the +24v supply). So far success w small prints | |
